Garden To Plate: Bringing the Harvest to the School Table

And Garden Progress Sharing and Problem Solving

Join Jessica Cuevas, teacher and coordinator of the Margate Schools Garden, for an information session on how to provide students the opportunity to sample what they have grown in the school garden. Included in the workshop is a tour of the six garden beds included in the garden, a multimedia presentation of the Garden Gourmet program used in our district, and a hands-on cooking demonstration designed to maximize garden harvests. The workshop will conclude with a sharing session where participants are encouraged to share their “triumphs and trials”. A panel of experienced gardeners will be assembled to help trouble shoot and problem solve collectively.
